A Dedication to Our Mothers
To All Our Mothers
The role of our mothers has changed significantly during 2020 owing to the outbreak of Coronavirus, where the world and daily life, as we knew it, will never be the same again.
Our moms have had to deal with the additional challenges of not only looking after their children and seeing that they are well fed, well nourished, comforted, healthy, but also ensuring that all their school tasks have been completed on line and on time – no mean feat indeed! Furthermore, they have had the added responsibility of having dad at home as well all day for the past six weeks! – you fully deserve that special weekend away spa voucher !
I would like to share a reading from Proverbs Chapter 31: verses 26-29 for our mothers:
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
On behalf of all members of the greater College community, we wish to sincerely thank all our mothers for the significant role that you continue to play in your son’s lives. We are all collectively extremely grateful.
We wish you and your sons a very special day on Sunday and hope that they spoil you for once.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, Mr Stickells, staff and boys have an adapted version of a well-known song dedicated to you, which has been uploaded to our school’s Facebook and Twitter pages – Enjoy
