Welcome to our new staff for Term1 of 2023

We welcomed a number of new staff joining the #RedBlackWhite family this term:

 

Mrs Kim Storm returns to College from St Johns to take on the role as Subject Head of Physical Science. She is a very experienced educator who will be a mentor in Nicholson House and involved in additional science in the afternoons.

 

Mr Vedprakash (Vetty) Noubouth joins us from Raisethorpe; he is an experienced Maths teacher and will take over as Subject Head of GET phase. He will be coaching cricket in summer and will be a mentor in Pape House.

 

Mrs Lage’ Udal joins us from Linpark and will take over as Subject Head of Mathematics FET phase. She will be offering additional Mathematics after school and will be in Calder House as a mentor.

 

Mr Mark Sanders joins us from St Benedicts as Director of Hockey. He is a very experienced hockey coach and will be teaching Phys Ed, as well as assisting the marketing department. He will be a duty master in Elliott House.

 

Mr Hendre Marnitz joins us from Garsfontein as Director of Rugby. He is a very experienced rugby coach and head of rugby with international and provincial success in both fields. He will be teaching LO and Phys Ed and is a duty master in Shepstone House.

 

Ms Maryke Bailey joins us from Rodean School, and will be teaching English and History, as well as assisting with Cultural Affairs and serving as a mentor in Snow House.

 

Mr Jaco Taljaard joins us from Kempton Park High School will be teaching Afrikaans and coaching cricket, rugby and athletics. He is a duty master in Shepstone House and a mentor in Fuller House.

 

Ms Angela Cilliers is a very experienced teacher and athletics coach who joins us from King Edward School and will be teaching Afrikaans, as well as fulfilling a very important role as housemother in Nathan House. She has a role as mentor in Lamond House as well as coaching athletics.

 

Mr Sanelo Ngcobo joins us from MLS to teach IsiZulu and coach basketball, hockey and soccer while serving as a mentor in Pape House.

 

Mr Mike Dick, OC and Deputy Head at Merchiston will be working closely with coaches at the junior level in both cricket and rugby as well as assisting with marketing of College.

 

Mrs Sanita Deodutt, a very experienced teacher of Physical and Natural Science, joins us from GHS and will be involved in the Hindu Society and as a mentor in Forder House.

 

Mr Paul Gonlag, a very experienced educator and sports coach joins us from Eston and will be teaching LO, EMS and Phys Ed. He will also serve as MIC Hockey, and as a mentor in Nicholson House as well as a duty master in Nathan House.

 

Mr Eloff Pretorius an experienced and accomplished artist and educator joins our Visual Art Department and will be offering art after school. He will be a mentor in Barns House.

 

Miss Aneesha Dasrathlal joins us from Sky City Royal Schools and will be teaching LO and Technology,  as well as supporting Cultural Affairs,  and will be a mentor in Pape  House.

 

Ms Hloniphile Makhoba is an experienced registered nurse joining the sanatorium team.

 

Ms Lindy Mkhize joins us as an Epoch Optima intern teaching IsiZulu.

 

Mr Wandile Shange, an OC of 2021, returns to his alma mater as our marketing intern.
