Celebrating the Class of 2022 NSC results

Maritzburg College congratulates the Class of 2022 on their excellent matric results. Special mention must be made of Thaufiq Abramia and Yaaseen Malani, both of whom received 8 distinctions, and Uwais Essa who achieved 7 distinctions. Abramia was placed 9th in the district and 7th in the municipality, while Malani was placed 14th in the district and Essa 26th.

We are also very proud of Minenhle Ngubo, one of our former Deputy Head Prefects, who, in addition to achieving 3 distinctions, has been awarded the prestigious Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Fellowship. Through the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, founded in 2005, the Fellowship Programme aims to provide funding for students at university level as well as providing support and development.

As a school we pride ourselves on preparing our boys for their futures through a well-rounded holistic and excellent education experience. It has to be noted that for the Class of 2022, the last three years of high school have been the most challenging, and we are very proud of the way they have risen above these challenges, and of their hard work, dedication, commitment and determination.

Academic achievement is traditionally measured by examination results, and at College, while we highlight the achievements of our top pupils, we also celebrate with pride the individual achievements of every pupil.

We also acknowledge with gratitude the vital role played by the teachers and family members who have taught, mentored, supported and encouraged these young men over the last 5 years.
