On Monday 28 August, Maritzburg College named its Acting Prefects for 2024.
These 29 boys have been through a rigorous and complex selection process which takes into account inputs from both the boys and staff.
At the special assembly, Acting Headmaster, Mr Matthew Marwick, spoke on the importance of humility, reminding the boys to always strive to be better, and as leaders – to serve others. He also emphasized that, as individuals, they are part of a bigger picture and need to work together to achieve success.
These young men will now take over the reins of student leadership of the school while the Class of 2023 concentrate on their upcoming examinations. Today’s assembly also provided an opportunity to thank this year’s leadership team, superbly led by Kadira, for the outstanding role they have played.
