Final Dedication Assembly 16 March – Theme: Rest and Mindfulness

THEME: REST and MINDFULNESS

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: ‘Rest is not idle, is not wasteful. Sometimes rest is the most productive thing you can do for body and soul.’ Unknown

From Scripture
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30

A prayer
Heavenly Father, we ask that, as we come to the end of a very busy and fulfilling term,  that we can all have the opportunity to ensure that we do take time to rest, so that we can return well-rested and replenished for the term ahead.

After what has been a very busy 1st term, the boys and staff were encouraged to take time to rest and recharge, as well as to prioritise spending time with family and friends.

Farewell to Mr Graham Dorling

It is always a sad occasion when we bid farewell to one of our staff, and this time we say goodbye to Mr Graham Dorling who has opted to take early retirement.

Mr Dorling has been at College for 22 years; throughout this time he has been a 100% committed colleague in all that he does, and his passion and dedication are contagious. During his time at College, Mr Dorling has held several roles including mentor, day housemaster, BE housemaster of Clark House, HOD: Discipline, HOD 4th Form, cricket and rugby coach, subject head of Geography, to name just a few.

We thank him for his significant contribution to our school in so many areas and wish him well for his retirement.
