Maritzburg College’s Class of 2025 produces exceptional NSC results

Maritzburg College is proud to announce the exceptional achievements of the Sixth Form Class of 2025 in the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. These young men have done themselves and the school proud, and we extend our warmest congratulations to them.

Maritzburg College’s Headmaster, Mr Alan Redfern and the Senior Deputy Headmaster, Mrs Jeanette Finnie with the top two achievers from the Class of 2025, Michael (Dux 2025) and Daniel Brunkhorst, who each achieved an exceptional 10 A’s  

Special mention goes to the Brunkhorst twins, Daniel and Michael, who each achieved an extraordinary 10 distinctions.

 

We also commend Christopher Mundell, Saiushan Naidoo and Jiran Moneyvalu for earning 8 distinctions each.

Cayden Gibbs and Andile Mkhize achieved 7 distinctions, while Hlulani Maluleke and Khayelihle Phungula earned 6 distinctions, a remarkable accomplishment.

We express our sincere gratitude to our dedicated staff whose unwavering support and commitment played a vital role in these outstanding results.

  • Pass Rate: 99.6%
  • Bachelor Pass Rate: 86%
  • Tertiary Access: 96% of learners qualified for entry into tertiary studies
  • Total Subject Distinctions: 330
  • Top Performers: Daniel and Michael Brunkhorst (10 distinctions each)
  • Additional high achievers include learners with 8, 7, and 6 distinctions
  • 70% of the learners achieved a C aggregate or above
