MCOBA and the Goldstones Club support the College Narcotics Dog Project

Thanks to generous sponsorship from the MCOBA and our Goldstones Club, College’s Narcotics Dog initiative has been able to conduct two searches this year.

This project is working with Synergy K-9 and Security to conduct random drug searches in the College Boarding houses, and is aimed ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our boys.

Synergy K-9 have conducted two searched this year, in May and June.

In May, they searched dormitories of three of the boarding houses. A boy per dorm was present when they went through the dormitory and checked it. They also did a demo to show the effectiveness of the process, where a sample of marijuana was “planted” in the dormitory and found by the dog.

At the beginning of June, a search of the school block was conducted visiting classrooms and other parts of the campus.

On both occasions, nothing was found.
