REFLECTION

Thank you to Mr Kyle and his team for what was an amazing Sport and Cultural Awards evening. Once again congratulations to all the boys who received awards. You have done yourselves proud. Thank you also for your support of the evening and your acknowledgement of all your peers and others.

Mr Nolutshungu’s speech was very enjoyable and powerful at the same time and he spoke with considerable humility. I wish to reiterate one or two points from the speech that are pertinent to you :

  • Get up and make your bed. (Develops Habit)
  • Work hardest when no one is looking (Creates Resilience)
  • Be on time (Punctual)
  • Humble yourself always (Humility)
  • No entitlement (No one owes you anything)
  • Don’t start what you can’t finish (Art of action)
  • It’s okay to fail. Just never give up (Art of consistency)
  • Don’t burn bridges. Build life long relationships both young & old (Be kind to people)

We have come to the end of a very busy term with the 6th Form still busy with their Trial Exams. Thank you all for your commitment to College and all that you bring to the table. As seen last night, College boys continue to excel in so many areas and we are truly blessed with the talent on display and the staff that have supported them reaching their goals. For those boys who are leaving, we thank you for your contribution to College and wish you well for the future.
