Overview of Barns' House

Barns’ was names after Mr EW “Pixie” Barns, who was born in England in 1867.
Mr Barns was the 4th headmaster of College (1902-1925) and holds the dual distinction of not just being the longest serving headmaster, but the one with greatest longevity – he passed away in 1960 at the age of 93.

House Colour:                   Royal blue
Barns’ logo:                         Features three lions’ heads which are on the family’s coat of arms
Barns’ Motto:                     “Acta non verba; – or “action without words” – encourages our boys to live out
                                                 the core values of our historic school.
