Overview Sporting Achievements
The weekend saw winter sport trials taking place on the campus, along with squash, canoeing and cycling activities.
Squash
On Friday, 10 March, both the Senior and Junior squash teams travelled to Botha’s hill to take on Kearsney, in what would prove to be a competitive afternoon of fixtures. The Senior team put in a strong effort, despite being a player down with captain Thomas Pratt being unable to play due to illness. College’s number 1 and 2 seeds (Matt Mason and William Galliers) both went down, narrowly, 2-3 and this tipped the fixture in Kearsney’s favour as they ran out 6-2 winners.
The Junior fixture proved to be just as exciting with close encounters played out across the board. College’s top order strength proved vital however, as they ran out 5-3 victors.
